After several disappointing sessions, I felt inspired to learn massage so that I could strive to provide the kind of session that my first massage therapist had given me: A bodywork session that allowed me relax into a therapeutic bliss, where I could feel deep and very intentional attention to every knot and area of muscle strain in my body. I saw the same therapist for about a year, until I moved away to a new city for a job. My first massage experience was a life-changing experience.
